Who doesn’t have and often recall their most colorful childhood memories?

I grew up having a craving for peanuts and in particular boiled ones which we would get outside the streets of Bangalore where I grew up. I genuinely enjoyed this steaming hot peanuts which was salted and it was perfect for my liking. As I grew older, I somehow became distant and I never purchased anything off of street vendors anymore!

When I stepped out of my city for the first time ever, somehow found another liking for corn bhel and whenever I went to a mall i would make sure to buy a cup of corn which were seasoned with different masala; butter and spices , especially pepper. Somehow this makes me wonder how there are too many choices in this world we have a liking towards several things and maybe due to our circumstances or the way we think or the way we are conditioned, we do not get to choose all of them. Now thinking of it, I feel a bit odd that I don’t get certain things that I used to enjoy during my childhood for example some of the toffees that I used to enjoy in our local shops. AS we become adults we don’t really go to shops like that anymore and we rely on supermarkets all the time and pay taxes and get greeted by strangers just because it feels quick & convenient. Whereas in local shops we find some kaka or uncle from whom our parents and grandparents brought groceries and a have a unique friendship with.
We ditch small scale vendors most of the time in search of a branded one without even realizing that we are the reason why they make their menu/product so expensive.

Trust me, if you can feed a family of five by just purchasing goods from a local vendor but still are buying from an already rich & well off brand just because you can afford it, you are failing at life.

Life is to live for others, serve others, and you’d definitely see a huge impact.
Remember, good things come back in ripples., Do good deeds because the genuine smile behind it will motivate you even better. Just do it 😉
